Clare McDowall Levy started her career in recruitment and executive search before making the transition to fundraising and non-profit communications in 2009. She worked as a national fundraising manager for Oxfam GB before emigrating from the UK to Canada in 2011. Quickly after arriving, she established the very first nonprofit conference dedicated to social media, Be Good Be Social, to help nonprofits get up to speed with digital after identifying that Canadian charities were somewhat behind the times in comparison to the UK. Clare worked as the Director of Fundraising and Communications for a small environmental non-profit before moving into full-time consulting in 2013. Since then her firm, Socially Good, has worked with large and small nonprofits to move their digital strategies forward. She has also been a volunteer with AFP Toronto on their marketing and communications committee.
