BridgeWay Family Centre provides free prenatal services, early learning and family support programs to pregnant women and families/caregivers with children birth – 6 years of age. They are committed to providing the best support to our clients and sharing in their journey of parenting.
The Board of Directors is looking for a dynamic leader to lead the organization as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The CEO’s mandate is to provide strategic and operational leadership to the organization, while deepening and expanding relationships with various stakeholders.
The Board is seeking a seasoned senior level executive from the non-profit sector, who will report to the Board of Directors and will build on BridgeWay’s legacy in responding to the needs of families in creative and new ways, while preserving its culture. With a budget of over $6M and 100 staff, BridgeWay provides a range of services and support at 40 locations throughout Brampton and Mississauga. The CEO is instrumental in leading the team that supports the work of the agency to achieve its vision of ‘Caring every day, building stronger families’.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will implement programs and services to achieve the goals of the organization’s mission statement, its vision, philosophy, and strategic plan. The CEO is directly accountable to the Board of Directors for the day-to-day operation and implementation of the strategic plan of the organization.
What you Bring to this role:
- Experience in working with non-profit board of directors
- Experience in family-centred programs and activities, including knowledge of policies and procedures related to the operation of family resource programs
- Knowledge and/or experience in serving vulnerable and underserved families
- Knowledge of related federal/provincial/municipal mandate and the ability to meet the specification in the mandate
- Five years or more senior leadership experience in the non-profit sector
- Strong visionary planning/implementation skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills including the ability to relate with politicians, funders, donors, staff, parents/caregivers and young children.
- Technical skills required for day-to-day operations (e.g. Proficiency with Microsoft Office).
- Vulnerable Sector Check and Financial Record Check
- Emergency First Aid/CPR B or C
Assets:
- Experience in the field of early childhood education
- Additional language(s)
Education:
- Degree in Business Administration, Human Services, Social Sciences, Social Work, or related fields.
