As a leader in executive recruiting for more than three decades, Deborah brings her strong knowledge of market intelligence in nonprofits and her proven track of placing hundreds of nonprofit professionals to each client’s engagement. As a testament to these results, she takes great pride in the number of clients and board members who frequently refer her.

In keeping with crawfordconnect’s exclusive focus on the nonprofit sector, Deborah is also a dedicated volunteer. She has served in numerous leadership roles in nonprofits and has served on the boards of many organizations. Deborah has also completed the Institute of Corporate Directors Not for Profit Governance Essentials course and is a popular speaker and writer in the areas of leadership search, retention, and sustainability.

Before joining our team, Heidi had 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, beginning with her role as Senior Research Officer for the University of Toronto’s $1 billion campaign.

She later worked with many nonprofit organizations, identifying donor and board prospects as a freelance prospect researcher and grant writing consultant through Prospect Research Experts.

Since joining crawfordconnect in 2019, Heidi has held multiple roles, first as Senior Search Consultant, Executive Search Coordinator, and today as Managing Director, Executive Search & Marketing.

As Director, Talent Management for crawfordconnect, Bill Hozy specializes in the tools and processes that helps organizations make the most of recruited and resident talent. These include succession planning, compensation reviews, organizational design, performance management systems, retention, and policy solutions. Bill corporate career includes consumer products and energy companies. He was also a founding partner of a consulting firm specializing in the utility sector, and launched PlanningStop.com, offering talent management services with a focus on ease-of-use tools and processes for organizations.
